The Leland Cubs basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host West Bolivar Eagles to 32 in the Cubs league victory on Wednesday.
The Cubs now sport a 3-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shaw for a 1A Region 5 contest on Friday, February 2. Leland will battle a Warriors team coming off a 55-47 league win over Simmons (Hollandale, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 12-10.
The Eagles (0-17) will now prepare for their contest against South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS). The Bulldogs come into the 1A Region 5 contest with a 17-3 record. In their last contest, South Delta prevailed over West Tallahatchie (Webb, MS), 51-34, in a league contest.
