Cherokee Trail Cougars (Aurora, CO) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Mullen Mustangs (Denver, CO), 80-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cherokee Trail upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Overland (Aurora, CO) to play the Trailblazers in a bout on Friday, February 2. The Trailblazers come into the bout with a record of 3-4. Overland lost 53-48 in their recent non-league bout against Smoky Hill (Aurora, CO)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Arapahoe Warriors (Centennial, CO) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Mullen will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 62-45 non-league win over Eaglecrest (Centennial, CO).
