In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Franklin County Eagles basketball team scored a good 44-31 triumph over the Halifax County Comets.
In their next game, the Eagles meet the Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 2. Franklin County will attempt to move on its 14-4 season record. The Colonels enter the match with a 6-4 record after their 61-30 non-league win over Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA).
With the defeat, Halifax County moves to 3-11 on the year. The Comets travel to Bassett (Bassett, VA) to meet the Bengals in a non-league match on Friday, February 2. The Bengals enter the match with a record of 2-11.
