In Friday's league contest, the host Austin Mustangs basketball team scored a good 58-39 triumph over the Sharpstown Apollos.
The Mustangs (12-14) will now prepare for their contest against Galena Park (Galena Park, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the 5A Region III District 21 contest with a 12-16 record. In their last contest, Galena Park topped Westbury (Houston, TX), 43-40, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Apollos confront the Madison Marlins (Houston, TX) in a 5A Region III District 21 contest, on Wednesday, February 5. Sharpstown will attempt to better on its 1-18 season record. The Marlins go into the contest with a 11-10 record after their 79-64 league win over Waltrip (Houston, TX).
