The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets (Fergus Falls, MN) and the host Brandon/Evansville Chargers (Brandon, MN), observed Hillcrest Lutheran Academy's basketball team overcome Brandon/Evansville by a margin of 53-45.

The Comets (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Rothsay (Rothsay, MN). The Tigers come into the A Section 6 challenge with a 5-12 record. In their last challenge, Rothsay defeated Ashby (Ashby, MN), 62-45, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Chargers battle the Swanville Bulldogs (Swanville, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Brandon/Evansville will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 66-58 league win over St. John's Prep (Collegeville, MN).
