The Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds basketball team scored 84 points and limited the visiting Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs to 43 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Friday.

The Thunderbirds now possess a 8-9 record. They play next when they travel to B O L D for a A Section 2 game on Monday, February 3. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop will play a Warriors team coming off a 75-74 league win over Cedar Mountain (Morgan, MN). The Warriors record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart falls to 0-18 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to New Ulm Cathedral (New Ulm, MN) to play the Greyhounds in a A Section 2 game on Tuesday, February 4. The Greyhounds go into the game with a record of 8-11. New Ulm Cathedral won 76-70 in their recent non-league game against Wabasso (Wabasso, MN)
