The Centennial Cougars basketball squad (Franklin, TN), was outscored 59-41 in Friday's league battle with the host Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN)

With the victory, Independence advances its record to 15-9 on the year. The Eagles travel to Franklin (Franklin, TN) to meet the Admirals in a 4A District 10 battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Admirals enter the battle with a record of 16-5. Franklin lost 51-41 in their recent league battle against Brentwood (Brentwood, TN)

The Cougars now own a 11-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nolensville for a 4A District 10 battle on Tuesday, February 4. Centennial will meet a Knights squad coming off a 45-35 league win over Ravenwood (Brentwood, TN). The Knights record now stands at 16-8.
