The Independence Eagles basketball team scored 70 points and limited the host Centennial Cougars to 56 in the Eagles league triumph on Thursday.

The Eagles now have a 10-8 record. They play next when they travel to Brentwood for a 4A District 10 game on Tuesday, January 14. Independence will confront a Bruins team coming off a 64-51 league loss to Franklin (Franklin, TN). The Bruins record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Centennial falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Cougars host Ravenwood (Brentwood, TN) to confront the Raptors in a 4A District 10 game on Tuesday, January 14. The Raptors go into the game with a record of 7-10. Ravenwood won 57-49 in their recent league game against Nolensville (Nolensville, TN)
