The Hobbs Eagles defeated the host Clovis Wildcats basketball squad by a final score of 71-59 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls (Carlsbad, NM) in a 5A District 4 outing, on Friday, February 7. Hobbs will attempt to upgrade on its 19-3 season record. The Cavemen/Cavegirls come into the outing with a 15-7 record after their 47-44 league loss to Roswell (Roswell, NM).
