The Seguin Matadors basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Edison Golden Bears to 39 in the Matadors league triumph on Friday.

The Matadors now have a 16-14 record. They play next when they travel to Highlands for a 5A Region IV District 27 game on Tuesday, February 4. Seguin will confront a Owls team coming off a 61-43 league loss to Jefferson (San Antonio, TX). The Owls record now stands at 18-13.

With the loss, Edison falls to 14-17 on the campaign. The Golden bears host Highlands (San Antonio, TX) to confront the Owls in a 5A Region IV District 27 game on Friday, February 7. The Owls go into the game with a record of 18-13.
