The Elliott County Lions defeated the visiting West Carter Comets basketball squad by a final score of 46-37 in Friday's league outing.
Next, the Lions clash with the Jackson City Tigers (Jackson, KY) in a non-league outing, on Monday, February 3. Elliott County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Tigers come into the outing with a 3-12 record after their 68-46 league loss to Breathitt County (Jackson, KY).
The Comets (3-14) will now prepare for their outing against Berea (Berea, KY). The Pirates come into the non-league outing with a 7-10 record. In their last outing, Berea overcame Portland Christian (Louisville, KY), 61-46, in a non-league outing.
