Kentucky High School Basketball - Elliott County knocks off West Carter

In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting Elliott County Lions basketball team scored a good 55-43 win over the West Carter Comets.
The Lions (13-5) will now prepare for their contest against Fairview (Ashland, KY). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 4-16 record. In their last contest, Fairview was topped by Russell (Russell, KY), 68-39, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Comets battle the Morgan County Cougars (West Liberty, KY) in a District 62 contest, on Friday, February 7. West Carter will attempt to better on its 3-17 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 9-10 record after their 73-51 non-league win over Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY).
