North Carolina High School Basketball - North Buncombe held off by McDowell

January 31, 2025: Marion, NC 28752

In Friday's league test, the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) basketball squad got by the visiting North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC), by a score of 73-68.

Next, the Titans encounter the Enka Jets (Enka, NC) in a 3A/4A Mountain test, on Tuesday, February 4. McDowell will attempt to improve on its 17-2 season record. The Jets come into the test with a 6-14 record after their 81-57 league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC).

The Black Hawks (11-9) will now prepare for their test against West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Falcons come into the non-league test with a 3-18 record. In their last test, West Henderson was nipped by Pisgah (Canton, NC), 59-51, in a league test.
