California High School Basketball - Nevada Union can't get by River Valley

River Valley Falcons (Yuba City, CA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA), 63-60 in a league match.

With the victory, River Valley advances its record to 9-11 on the year. The Falcons host Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA) to meet the Raging Rhinos in a Foothill Valley match on Monday, February 3. The Raging Rhinos enter the match with a record of 16-6. Twelve Bridges won 57-48 in their recent league match against Del Campo (Fair Oaks, CA)

The Miners now own a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Del Campo for a Foothill Valley match on Monday, February 3. Nevada Union will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 73-39 league loss to Placer (Auburn, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 7-16.

The River Valley (Yuba City, CA) varsity basketball team won Friday's home conference game against Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA) in overtime by a score of 66-63.
