The Shadow Ridge Stallions (Surprise, AZ) basketball edged the host Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ), 56-54 in Friday's league bout.

The Stallions now possess a 9-12 record. They play next when they travel to Tolleson for a 6A West Valley bout on Tuesday, February 4. Shadow Ridge will play a Wolverines team coming off a 44-38 league loss to West Point (Avondale, AZ). The Wolverines record now stands at 9-11.

With the loss, Valley Vista falls to 4-17 on the campaign. The Monsoon travel to Apollo (Glendale, AZ) to play the Hawks in a 6A West Valley bout on Thursday, February 6. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 10-11. Apollo lost 63-56 in their recent league bout against West Point (Avondale, AZ)
