In Friday's league contest, the visiting Syracuse Bulldogs basketball team scored a good 42-29 triumph over the Stanton County Trojans.

The Bulldogs (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Deerfield (Deerfield, KS). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 5-10 record.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Elkhart Wildcats (Elkhart, KS) in a Hi-Plains contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Stanton County will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 4-9 record after their 50-14 league loss to Lakin (Lakin, KS).
