New Mexico High School Basketball - Santa Fe nips La Cueva

In Friday's league contest, the host Santa Fe Demons basketball team scored a close 31-30 triumph over the La Cueva Bears.

The Demons (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against Sandia (Albuquerque, NM). The Matadors go into the contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Sandia was tipped by Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM), 39-36, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, February 5. La Cueva will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record.
