In Friday's league outing, the host Walnut Grove Wildcats soccer squad scored a tight 7-1 win over the Sherman Bearcats.

The Wildcats (9-1) will now prepare for their outing against McKinney North (McKinney, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 5A Region 2 District 9 outing with a 6-5 record. In their last outing, McKinney North was overwhelmed by Lovejoy (Lucas, TX), 3-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Bearcats confront the Anna Coyotes (Anna, TX) in a 5A Region 2 District 9 outing, on Tuesday, February 4. Sherman will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Coyotes enter the outing with a 5-3 record after their 9-0 league win over Greenville (Greenville, TX).
