Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) and the host Jersey Shore Bulldogs (Jersey Shore, PA), saw Shamokin Area's basketball squad overcome Jersey Shore by a tally of 65-53.

With the victory, Shamokin Area improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Shikellamy (Sunbury, PA) to confront the Braves in a Heartland I challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Shikellamy lost 73-36 in their recent league challenge against Central Mountain (Mill Hall, PA)

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Selinsgrove Seals (Selinsgrove, PA) in a Heartland I challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Jersey Shore will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Seals come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 43-34 league win over Milton (Milton, PA).
