In Wednesday's league outing, the Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD), by a margin of 128-22.
The Mustangs (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC). The Lions go into the non-league outing with a 9-2 record. In their last outing, Archbishop Carroll smashed Banneker (Washington, DC), 52-38, in a non-league outing.
The Tartans now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop Ireton for a VISAA Division I outing on Friday, January 6. The Academy of the Holy Cross will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 77-74 non-league loss to Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-4.
