The Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) basketball knocked off the host Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), 70-52 in Wednesday's league test.

The Braves (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Highlands (Highlands, NC). The Highlanders go into the 1A Conference 43 test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, Highlands notched a victory over West-Oak (Westminster, SC), 36-35, in a non-league test.

The Maroon Devils now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Franklin for a non-league test on Thursday, January 5. Swain County will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 65-42 non-league loss to Rabun County (Tiger, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 6-6.
