North Saxons (Torrance, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host South Spartans (Torrance, CA), 52-47 in a league bout.

With the win, North upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Saxons travel to Lawndale (Lawndale, CA) to play the Cardinals in a Pioneer bout on Friday, January 6. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 0-8. Lawndale lost 59-4 in their recent league bout against West (Torrance, CA)

Next up, the Spartans play the El Segundo Eagles (El Segundo, CA) in a Pioneer bout, on Monday, January 9. South will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 55-25 league loss to Torrance (Torrance, CA).
