In Wednesday's non-league outing, the George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Chilhowie Warriors (Chilhowie, VA), by a margin of 41-6.

The Maroons (7-0) will now prepare for their outing against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils go into the non-league outing with a 5-2 record.

The Warriors now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Eastside for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 5. Chilhowie will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 24-18 non-league win over Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-5.
