In Wednesday's non-league match, the host East Duplin Panthers basketball team scored a tight 41-36 triumph over the Eastern Wayne Warriors.
In their next game, the Panthers meet the James Kenan Tigers (Warsaw, NC) in a match, on Friday, January 6. East Duplin will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record.
