With the win, Murphy upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Bulldogs host Gilmer (Ellijay, GA) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Gilmer lost 68-67 in their recent non-league bout against Murphy (Murphy, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Hiwassee Dam will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 44-42 non-league loss to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC).
