South Central Falcons (Winterville, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), 57-46 in a league bout.

With the win, South Central upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Falcons travel to Havelock (Havelock, NC) to play the Rams in a bout on Friday, January 6. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 3-6.

Next up, the Bears play the J.H. Rose Rampants (Greenville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. New Bern will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Rampants go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 50-45 non-league loss to D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC).
