In Thursday's non-league outing, the Providence Classical Christian Warriors (Oxford, GA) basketball squad edged the visiting Academe of the Oaks Firebirds (Decatur, GA), by a count of 57-55.
The Warriors (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against Trinity Prep (Loganville, GA). The Lions go into the GAPPS - I-A Region 2B outing with a 5-10 record. In their last outing, Trinity Prep was tipped by Greene County (Greensboro, GA), 51-50, in a non-league outing.
The Firebirds now hold a 0-6 record. They play next when they host HALO for a GAPPS - I-A Region 2A outing on Thursday, January 11.
