In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Covenant Christian Eagles basketball squad scored a nice 48-32 victory over the Shoals Christian Flame.

With the victory, Covenant Christian improves its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Cherokee (Cherokee, AL) to confront the Indians in a 1A Area 16 challenge on Monday, January 8. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 7-8.

Next up, the Flame confront the Mars Hill Bible Panthers (Florence, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Shoals Christian will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 72-49 league win over Tharptown (Russellville, AL).
