Croswell-Lexington Pioneers (Croswell, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Imlay City Spartans (Imlay City, MI), 54-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Croswell-Lexington upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Pioneers host Algonac (Algonac, MI) to play the Muskrats in a Blue Water Area bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Muskrats go into the bout with a record of 0-10. Algonac lost 58-47 in their recent league bout against Armada (Armada, MI)

Next up, the Spartans play the Yale Bulldogs (Yale, MI) in a Blue Water Area bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Imlay City will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 48-40 league win over North Branch (North Branch, MI).
