The Union City Soaring Eagles basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Lincoln Lions to 8 in the Soaring Eagles league triumph on Thursday.
The Soaring Eagles now sport a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dickinson for a Hudson County - American contest on Saturday, January 6. Union City will battle a Rams team coming off a 74-47 league loss to Hudson Catholic (Jersey City, NJ). The Rams record now stands at 5-4.
The Lions (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, NJ). The Marauders enter the Hudson County - American contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, St. Peter's Prep triumphed over North Star Academy (Newark, NJ), 66-34, in a non-league contest.
