In Thursday's non-league outing, the Washington Academy Raiders (East Machias, ME) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME), by a count of 55-34.
The Raiders (4-5) will now prepare for their outing against Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME). The Wildcats go into the B North outing with a 1-6 record. In their last outing, Presque Isle was crushed by Caribou (Caribou, ME), 58-25, in a league outing.
The Dragons now hold a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Penobscot Valley for a C North outing on Saturday, January 6. Woodland will clash with a Howlers squad coming off a 53-49 league loss to Penquis Valley (Milo, ME). The Howlers record now stands at 2-5.
