The Monticello Panthers basketball team (Monticello, NY), was toppled 44-25 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY)
The Warriors now possess a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cornwall Central for a Section 9 Orange County II battle on Tuesday, January 9. Minisink Valley will confront a Dragons team coming off a 41-21 league loss to Warwick (Warwick, NY). The Dragons record now stands at 2-5.
The Panthers (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Port Jervis (Port Jervis, NY). The Raiders come into the Section 9 Orange County III battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Port Jervis was toppled by Sullivan West (Lake Huntington, NY), 52-26, in a non-league battle.
