Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY) and the visiting Monticello Panthers (Monticello, NY), saw Minisink Valley's basketball squad hold off Monticello by a tally of 34-28.

With the victory, Minisink Valley improves its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Goshen Central (Goshen, NY) to confront the Gladiators in a Section 9 Orange County II challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a record of 1-13. Goshen Central lost 55-5 in their recent league challenge against Warwick (Warwick, NY)

Next up, the Panthers confront the Liberty Indians (Liberty, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 9. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record.
