Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA), 57-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Glenvar upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA) to play the Bruins in a non-league bout on Monday, January 8. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 8-3.

Next up, the Blue Demons play the Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Christiansburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 61-49 non-league loss to Northside (Roanoke, VA).
