Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) and the visiting Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA), saw Glenvar's basketball squad knock off Christiansburg by a count of 61-41.

With the victory, Glenvar upgrades its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Blue Demons play the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Christiansburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Terriers come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 57-46 non-league win over Bassett (Bassett, VA).
