In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting New Smyrna Beach Barracudas soccer squad scored a close 3-0 win over the Spruce Creek Hawks.

The Barracudas (14-1) will now prepare for their test against Seminole (Sanford, FL). The Seminoles come into the non-league test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Seminole by Lake Brantley (Altamonte Springs, FL), 4-2, in a non-league test.

With the loss, Spruce Creek drops to 9-6 on the season. The Hawks host Matanzas (Palm Coast, FL) to meet the Pirates in a non-league test on Tuesday, January 9. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 6-4. Matanzas 1-1 in their recent non-league test against Menendez (St. Augustine, FL)
