In Thursday's league outing, the Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD) basketball squad edged the host Archbishop Carroll Lions (Washington, DC), by a count of 46-44.
The Mustangs (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against St. John's (Washington, DC). The Cadets go into the DCSAA AA outing with a 14-0 record. In their last outing, St. John's held off Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA), 74-48, in a league outing.
The Lions now hold a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Gonzaga for a DCSAA AA outing on Sunday, January 8. Archbishop Carroll will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 62-49 non-league win over Georgetown Prep (North Bethesda, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 13-0.
