Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting East Fairmont Bees (Fairmont, WV), 65-58 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fairmont Senior upgrades its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Polar Bears travel to Elkins (Elkins, WV) to play the Tigers in a Big Ten bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 6-3. Elkins won 68-39 in their recent non-league bout against Hampshire (Romney, WV)

With the defeat, East Fairmont moves to 7-1 on the year. The Bees host Lincoln (Shinnston, WV) to face the Cougars in a Big Ten game on Tuesday, January 10. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 5-4. Lincoln lost 55-42 in their recent league game against Lewis County (Weston, WV)
