West Virginia High School Basketball - Elkins crushes Hampshire
January 7, 2023: Elkins, WV 26241 Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hampshire Trojans (Romney, WV), 68-39 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Elkins upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV) to play the Polar Bears in a Big Ten bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Polar Bears come into the bout with a record of 8-0. Fairmont Senior won 65-58 in their recent league bout against East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV)
Next up, the Trojans play the Martinsburg Bulldogs (Martinsburg, WV) in a Eastern Panhandle bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Hampshire will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 69-63 league loss to Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV).
