Maine High School Basketball - Katahdin ripped by Southern Aroostook

The Southern Aroostook Warriors basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Katahdin Cougars to 28 in the Warriors league triumph on Thursday.

The Warriors now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Washburn for a D North contest on Tuesday, January 10. Southern Aroostook will meet a Beavers team coming off a 45-33 league loss to Ashland (Ashland, ME). The Beavers record now stands at 1-7.

The Cougars (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Van Buren (Van Buren, ME). The Crusaders enter the D North contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Van Buren triumphed over East Grand (Dansforth, ME), 39-15, in a non-league contest.
