Monmouth Regional Falcons (Tinton Falls, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Ocean Township Spartans (Oakhurst, NJ), 58-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Monmouth Regional upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Steinert (Hamilton, NJ) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 1-5.

Next up, the Spartans play the Montgomery Cougars (Skillman, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Ocean Township will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 61-54 league loss to Ridge (Basking Ridge, NJ).
