The Luther Prep Phoenix basketball team (Watertown, WI), was overwhelmed 58-21 in Thursday's league battle with the host Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, WI)
The Cardinals now possess a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lodi for a Capitol - North battle on Tuesday, January 10. Columbus will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 68-43 league loss to Lakeside Lutheran (Lake Mills, WI). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-10.
The Phoenix (0-7) will now prepare for their battle against Poynette (Poynette, WI). The Pumas come into the Capitol - North battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, Poynette was overwhelmed by Lake Mills (Lake Mills, WI), 59-36, in a league battle.
