In Friday's league outing, the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC), by a margin of 66-62.
The Hilltoppers (5-9) will now prepare for their outing against Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Wolverines go into the 1A/2A Mountain Foothills outing with a 2-10 record. In their last outing, Polk County was tipped by Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC), 85-43, in a league outing.
The Blue Devils now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Chase for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills outing on Friday, January 12.
