The Pleasant Valley Spartans basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Central DeWitt to 38 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central Clinton for a Mississippi contest on Friday, January 5. Pleasant Valley will face a Sabers team coming off a 80-75 non-league win over Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA). The Sabers record now stands at 4-3.

With the defeat, Central DeWitt moves to 6-5 on the year. The travel to Assumption (Davenport, IA) to face the Knights in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 9. The Knights enter the game with a record of 7-6. Assumption won 72-66 in their recent non-league game against Cedar Falls (Cedar Falls, IA)
