Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA), 57-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pleasant Valley upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Spartans travel to Stoughton (Stoughton, WI) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 17-3. Stoughton won 71-42 in their recent non-league bout against McFarland (McFarland, WI)

Next up, the clash with the Assumption Knights (Davenport, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Central DeWitt will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 12-11 record after their 68-59 non-league loss to Bettendorf (Bettendorf, IA).
