The Orange County Fighting Hornets basketball team (Orange, VA), was nudged 75-70 in Friday's league battle with the host Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA)

The Flying Flucos now possess a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charlottesville for a Jefferson battle on Tuesday, January 9. Fluvanna County will confront a Black Knights team coming off a 82-49 league win over Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Black Knights record now stands at 11-0.

The Fighting Hornets (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Mustangs come into the Jefferson battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Monticello was nudged by Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA), 57-22, in a league battle.
