Georgia High School Basketball - Hancock Central fells Wilkinson County

January 5, 2024: Sparta, GA 31087

Hancock Central Bulldogs (Sparta, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wilkinson County Warriors (Irwinton, GA), 58-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Hancock Central upgrades its record to 2-7 on the season. The Bulldogs host Glascock County (Gibson, GA) to play the Panthers in a A D2 Region 5 bout on Friday, January 12. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-10.

Next up, the Warriors play the Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Wilkinson County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 59-39 league win over Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA).
