North Carolina High School Basketball - Highland Tech tops Thomas Jefferson

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) and the visiting Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC), saw Highland Tech's basketball squad knock off Thomas Jefferson by a tally of 64-55.

With the victory, Highland Tech improves its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Rams host Shelby (Shelby, NC) to play the Golden Lions in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont test on Friday, January 12. The Golden Lions go into the test with a record of 5-5.

The Gryphons now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Burns for a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont test on Tuesday, January 9. Thomas Jefferson will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 64-61 league win over Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-8.
