The West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN) basketball crushed the host Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN), 81-52 in Friday's non-league test.
The Knights (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Benson (Benson, MN). The go into the A Section 6 test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Benson walloped Renville County West (Renville, MN), 58-56, in a non-league test.
The Lakers now own a 0-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pipestone for a AA Section 3 contest on Saturday, January 6. Minnewaska Area will battle a Arrows team coming off a 64-61 non-league loss to Marshall (Marshall, MN). The Arrows record now stands at 6-3.
