The Wyatt Chaparrals (Fort Worth, TX) basketball nipped the host South Hills Scorpions (Fort Worth, TX), 58-55 in Friday's league test.

The Chaparrals (5-14) will now prepare for their test against Polytechnic (Fort Worth, TX). The Parrots go into the 5A Region I District 6 test with a 4-11 record. In their last test, Polytechnic was tipped by Arlington Heights (Fort Worth, TX), 64-32, in a league test.

The Scorpions now own a 4-16 record. They play next when they host Everman for a 5A Region I District 6 test on Tuesday, January 9. South Hills will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 72-29 league win over North Side (Fort Worth, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-5.
